	                       <title>WING Commander: Invasion - So What's New </title>
	                       <description><![CDATA[As many are aware the current status of the Galactic Conquest mode is causing me no end of grief. I am planning one more shot at trying to get the asinine AI to actually get of its butt and expand, but if this doesn't work then the mod will be going solely skirmish only. For me this is a massive let down due to the three-four weeks spent sorting out the custom GC. Its either that or keep in a VERY basic handful of units. I may even try to get the basic ground troop units (stormtroopers and their rebel equivalent) re-skinned to try to make them look more WCish.<br />
<br />
Anyway, work has also started on the additional units for the v2.0 release (date as yet unknown) the first of which is pictured, so aside from several stations, and additional turret projectiles, there will also be the advanced classes of capital and fighter classes built. I'm also planning a specific unique unit for each of the sides which will be unarmed but very useful. More details on those when the time comes.<br />

	                       <title>Republic at War: Korriban Unveiled!</title>
	                       <description><![CDATA[So here we go again, unveiling a new planet for you all. This weeks choice was again done per many requests. On the various forums we discuss the mod on Korriban was the hands down winner followed by Kashyyyk as a close second. Mapping Korriban was tough. There is not much good artwork available, and what is available leaves much to the imagination. I strived to base Korriban on what we have seen in KOTOR and in the comics. A decimated, devastated planet consumed in darkside energy. The center of the map contains the Dark Valley of the lords, which we had to make about 18 new props for. The original map for EAW did not do such a good job of this. Our valley was based on 2 images I located. The rest of the planet is both desolate, and beautiful at the same time. While we wanted to create some new fauna for the planet time constraints prohibited us from doing that. We may still modify one of the stock Rancors and make it into something a bit more intimidating. We hope you like what we have done. Not as much eye candy as this is "dead" planet, but interesting nonetheless.<br />

	                       <title>Republic at War: Coruscant Unveiled </title>
	                       <description><![CDATA[Hello everyone, and welcome to another Planet unveiling. We asked the fans what planet they would want to see next, and overwhelmingly, the fans responded with Coruscant! We are not ones to disappoint so we decided rather than showing a relatively minor planet like Dantooine, we agreed with the fans and felt a planet that has a ton, (and we mean a ton) more eye candy would be more fun to profile. Designing Coruscant was a blast. Normally, I don't like to do Urban maps as they are not that pleasing to the eye. However, Coruscant reminds me of New York City times about a million. So I thought, if I'm gonna do this planet it NEEDS to be at night and lit up like a Christmas tree. This process was a bit more work, as it required the design and rigging of about 70 new props, plus the re-rigging of about a dozen stock models, re-skinning some others, as well as making some things that were new to us all. A vanilla skydome was NOT gonna work, so I took a page from my FPS design background and created a Skybox. Those of you familiar with Qradient will understand what I am referring to. Skydomes are great for large expanses of sky but to do what we wanted to do. A true skybox was needed. Now, sadly EAW's engine would never allows us to fill this map with the amount of people, and vehicles, that would be needed so we had to settle with a lived in city but not as jammed as we would have liked. You will notice we decided not to add in the Jedi Temple or Senate buildings. The reason for this is simple. Those areas have been shown a hundred times, and we did make new models for them, including some cool vehicles such as the Magnaline 3000 and the AirBus, we felt it was getting too crowded. Plus we didn't want half the map taken up by one giant prop such as the Senate building. We hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment, and again let us know what planet you would like to see next. We have been seeing many requests for Korriban, and we do have something kick ass in store for the Valley of the Lords so stay tuned.<br />

	                       <title>Republic at War: Naboo Unveiled! </title>
	                       <description><![CDATA[Hello Everyone, and welcome to our next installment where the team unveils a a new planet, and we preview everyday scenes from that world from within the mod. When we set out to make this mod, it underwent many changes, early on the staff all agreed that we were not happy with the way the land maps were designed. They seemed for lack of a better word "dead". Our goal was to re-create all the worlds in the mod and breathe life into them. People going about their daily routines. Vehicles coming to and fro. Spacecraft taking off and landing. Animals roaming, birds flying etc. We also new that if we were to do this then we had to add ambient noise in the mix also. So not only will all of these levels be bursting with life, but you will hear it also. As for the final mod, we have created, and added in over 300 new props, including about 15 different new plants. Many new animals, and other things to help landscapes feel alive. So without further ado, we bring you Naboo!<br />

With its rapidly firing 50mm MAC it spams 10 highly precise APFSDS projectiles per minute. With its 20mm of Titanium-A it is able to resist every Seraph attack until the bigger ships arrives. It can be placed everywhere on the battlefield except in other objects and high-gravity areas.<br />
In other words: It'll just pwn covie seraphs. Nothing more, nothing less. They have no chance against the more than powerful war machinery of the UNSC. Awesome, isn't it?<br />

What controlled specular can do with a single image...i think i just got a new favourite word: awesome. And I'm sure that you know that ESRB now rates awesome content with "A for Awesome", and this mod IS awesome, so you know what this mod will be rated. Awesome is just a perfect word. Not too long and not too short, only perfect. And i think I'm spamming now, and i can't stop. Hey, did you know that i had been killed? But i survived it. Isn't that awesome? Oh, i think i forgot Tankmen, but who cares. Just search on Youtube, and Blacky dubbed it in german ;-)<br />

Ok folks,<br />

I'm assuming i have to clear-up some things now...<br />
<br />
Originally we were invited to be part of the big "summer of mods of indies" - feature ( <a href="http://www.moddb.com/events/summer-of-mods-indies" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.moddb.com/events/summer-of-mods-indies</a> ). As we were not allowed to speak about it or to reveal, that we are part of it, we could only say that "the big update will come". The "big update", we have always talked about, was our contribution to this ModDB feature. We had sent a lot of pictures, videos and other stuff, but now ModDB has simply cut us out of the feature, without any message.<br />
I apologize that you have waited weeks for the big update and now it's canceled...<br />
<br />
Nonetheless we have now the possibility to show the stuff of the feature in our way.<br />
As i don't want to simply throw out tons of stuff without any context, we are going to split the content of the feature into several updates.<br />
<br />
We start today with a nice new feature of the mod, the tactical mission reports. These screens will become the loading screens of the various tactical missions and tell you, what you have to do and what has happened:<br />
